Thanks to God’s provision and the generous support of our partners, Familia Feliz has made significant progress in our solar energy project. As of July 2026, 32 solar panels have been installed on a new building designed to house the system, allowing approximately 75% of our campus to operate with solar energy.

This project provides a more reliable and sustainable source of electricity for our children, staff, and school community, which is especially valuable in a region where power challenges are common. The building is nearly complete, with only some final plastering and finishing details remaining.

For many years, an old wooden bridge provided access from the houses to the dining hall. Over time, exposure to the elements caused the wood to deteriorate, making replacement necessary. We are now working on building a new and safer bridge that will improve access and provide greater security for our children, staff, and the entire campus community.

Our dining hall is receiving a fresh new look. Interior painting has already begun, creating a cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming space where our children can enjoy meals together as a family. We also plan to repaint the exterior walls, which have become worn and faded after many years of use.

Beyond painting, we are continuing with additional improvements to our dining hall. This project includes repairing and finishing the walls, adding ceramic flooring in certain areas, and making other modifications to improve the appearance, comfort, and functionality of this important space.

Additionally, new volunteer rooms have been constructed and are in the final stages of completion. These rooms still require windows, doors, frames, painting, and other finishing details. Once completed, they will allow us to welcome more volunteers and provide them with better and more comfortable living conditions as they serve at Familia Feliz.
