Frequently Asked Questions

  • Familia Feliz is founded on the belief that all all children deserve to grow in safety with opportunities for play and education. We do this by providing food, shelter, and schooling to children in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia — the location of need God has placed on our hearts.

In supplying these resources, other costs also crop up. These costs include salaries for our tireless teachers and house parents, legal fees, utilities, equipment and infrastructure repairs, and building projects that improve living conditions.

  • Familia Feliz is an American non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in the state of Michigan. Our leadership can be found here. We provide funding, advertising, and volunteer opportunities for Internado Unidad Educativa Privada Familia Feliz, a private school located in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia. Although the two entities are legally distinct, the two work closely to achieve the goals of providing for disadvantaged children.

  • Our project is funded by private donors primarily located in the United States and Canada, although we accept contributions from locations across the globe.

  • We believe that the best way to demonstrate the love of Christ is by meeting the immanent physical needs of those in our community. We do this by providing essential services and resources to disadvantaged children in rural Bolivia, working hard to make sure the children placed in our care are provided with food, shelter, education, and protection from abuse and neglect.

Once this primary goal is fulfilled, both on a daily- and long-term scale, we provide opportunities for students on campus to encounter Jesus through weekly church services, Bible classes, and daily worship sessions.

  • Although we are not organizationally or financially a part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we are organized under SDA theological values and lead by members of the SDA Church.
